Iqama (Residency) Application Process – MOH Kuwait Staff

Eligibility for Iqama Process

Those who have already completed certificate scanning (with grade letter), medical fitness report, blood tests, and fingerprinting can now apply for their Iqama (residency/visa transfer).

⚠️ Note: You can submit documents even without committee approval.

Required Documents for Iqama Application

  • Copy of committee paper (if available, otherwise, can apply without it).

  • Civil ID number & Kuwait phone number (typed neatly on A4 paper or handwritten clearly).
  • Copy of entry visa.

  • Visa extension copy.

  • Passport copy with  2 years’ validity

  • Medical reports copy (fitness & blood test reports – do not send originals).

  • Original Police Clearance Certificate from your home country (attested by MOFA Kuwait).
  • Original Arabic translation of Police Clearance (if original is in English).

  • Copy of Diploma/Degree certificate (MOFA attested).

  • Copy of Transcript (MOFA attested).
  • Original Passport  2 years’ validity 
  • 10 KD Barcode Stamp (purchase only from Salmiya Jawazat).

  • 3 Photos (blue background, without spectacles).

Important Instructions

  • Arrange all documents inside a sealed envelope.
  • On the envelope, write:
    • Your Name
    • Hospital
    • PNR /INR Number
    • Label it clearly: Documents for Iqama
  • Do not stick the 10 KD stamp on any document.
  • Place the 10 KD barcode stamp and photos inside your passport.
  • Write your Name & PNR number on the back of each photo.
  • If documents are not arranged properly, they will be returned.
  • Submission can be done by:
    • Yourself
    • A representative
    • Through your Hospital SDU
