How to Get Medical License in Kuwait

You can Get a Medical License online in Kuwait, Follow these simple steps:

Note:

1. A Healthcare Professional can only request for one service at a time, For Example if you have applied for Renewal of License, Then You cannot apply for Change of Designation until the Renewal Of License service request is completed.
2. Carefully fill in the required details mentioned in the service request forms, In appropriate/invalid details submitted may result in the rejection of Application
3. The Documents to be uploaded while submitting the service request must be in pdf format for documents then photo and photo should be a JPEG or PNG file 4*6 size, the file size for photo and pdf scanned documents should not exceed 500KB.
4. The Documents requested should match the scanned pdf/photo documents which are uploaded, Application will be rejected, if a mismatch or invalid document is found during the verification process.
5. You cannot avail Change of Designation, Part time permission (Only for Kuwaiti Doctor) service if the existing license is expiring within 90 days from the current date/Date on which you’re applying for Change of Designation or Applying for Part time permission, please apply for License Renewal and then apply for the earlier mentioned services.
6. Part Time Permission is only available to Kuwaiti Doctors.
7. After the successful registration of the licensing service request, SMS and EMAIL notification will be sent to registered email id and mobile number with an Application Reference Number, Please note down the same for any further communication with the Medical Licensing department
8. Appropriate error messages are displayed for invalid data/details filled, please correct the details entered based on the validation messages displayed.

• Visit Kuwaiti Ministry of Health website “Click to Open Website”

• Go to “BUSINESS SERVICES” tab.

• Choose “Online Licensing Service” from “Medical Licenses” services.

•  Create online user account
  • Username.
  • Password.

1. Dashboard

Dashboard refers to the Home page of the Online Medical Licensing System, Here you can see the links to apply for the services on the left side menu and a detailed timeline view is also available for

the actions performed by the user , You can view the application log to see the user history/services requested, Current Application Status refers to the status of the service requested by the user.

New Personal License

• Select the License Type, License Category, Profession Type and Professional Title.
• Choose Professional Specialty Then Profession Sub Specialty drop down will be displayed, Profession sub specialty is a multiple select drop down(Multiple values can be chosen from the list, please use ctrl, click and scroll down),
• If the required profession sub specialty is not displayed in the list, Please select the Other option from the drop down, Enter the other profession sub specialty in the text box, Below is the screen shot for the same.

Upload Documents for Licensing services Note:

1. 1.All File Type should be in PDF Format.
2. Photo Size should be 4 *6 Jpeg Format.
3. File Size should not exceed 500KB.

Doctors (Physicians & Dentists)

Government Sector

Required documents for non‑Kuwaiti doctors include:

• Letter from the applicant to the MOH requesting issuance of a professional license
• Scientific (academic) certificates (degree credentials)
• Certificates of professional experience
• Copy of the professional license from the home country
• Copy of the passport
• Three (3) personal photos
• Membership documentation in Kuwait Medical Association (for both Kuwaiti and non‑Kuwaiti applicants)

Private Sector

Required documents for non‑Kuwaiti doctors include:

• A license request letter from the hiring medical institution (employer)
• Curriculum vitae (CV)
• Authenticated scientific qualifications (degrees), including date of issuance and source
• Authenticated certificate of practical experience
• Copy of the passport
• Copy of civil ID
• Membership receipt in Kuwait Medical Association
• Equivalence of scientific certificates (from Ministry of Higher Education)
• Four (4) personal photos

Nurses

Government Sector

For non‑Kuwaiti nurses, the required documents are:

• License request letter from employer
• Scientific certificates (degree/diploma)
• Certificates of experience
• BLS Certificate – AHA
• Copy of the passport
• Copy of the professional license from home country
• Three (3) personal photos

Private Sector

For non‑Kuwaiti nurses, the required documents are:

• Scientific certificates in nursing sciences
• Curriculum vitae (CV)
